Did I mention that it apparently started on fire at some point and melted the fan right off of the card? :P Oh, and it worked just fine.. used it right up to the point I pulled it out and didn't even know it was messed up.
And as a finale, this is the desk I just finished working on :) Now, consider that this was rescued from a garbage pile across the street when the neighbours left without warning their landlord they were abandoning ship :) It had been used by a child, and was covered in gouges, stickers and pen marks, and was partially coated in a thick shellac.
Stripped it, cleaned it up, tossed all the old hardware, repaired the drawers, bought new pulls, stained and treated it with Tung oil and #0000 steel wool and voila, we have a finished product that actually looks respectable :)
